The relationship between the police and the LGBTQ community has been a hot button issue for a long time in Toronto. When gay men started vanishing from their community, some people approached the police thinking there might be a serial killer, but the investigation didn’t go as smoothly as the community hoped. Sitting down with multiple advocates and members of the LGBTQ community, we discuss where the investigation went array and what the community hopes for the future.
