“A Hand Up, Not a Hand Out” is the motto of DANI Toronto, a non-profit organization that aims to teach necessary life skills to people with disabilities and help them live more independently. They put their motto into action by running various classes and encouraging participants to help out in their café and catering business. Co-founder Kathy Laszlo tells the story of how she started DANI and why meaningful employment for people with disabilities is so important. We’ll also hear from some of DANI’s employees and participants as they go through their daily schedules, and we’ll find out what a good job means to them.
